Ensuring Resident Safety Through Innovation: Fire Safety in the Spotlight

We are pleased to share insights on evolving fire safety measures in a recent interview with TVB News by our Past President Dr. Johnnie CHAN. The discussion highlighted the critical need for proactive, technology-driven solutions to protect our communities.

In the segment, we emphasized the importance of considering advanced systems like the IoT Fire Detection System, which the Fire Services Department (FSD) launched as a pilot scheme in October 2025. This innovative approach represents a significant step forward in early warning, real-time monitoring, and smart incident response—potentially transforming how we safeguard buildings and residents.
