Invitation to the Property Management Summit by PMSA & HAD

On 19 August 2026, our Association was honored to be invited to attend the “Property Management Summit” co-organized by the Property Management Services Authority and the Home Affairs Department . Centered on the theme ” A Decade of Professional Excellence, Advancing Together” , the summit reviewed the outstanding achievements of the property management industry over the past decade while jointly charting an innovative roadmap for the future.

During the panel discussion on ” Innovative Smart Management”, our President, Mr. Kevin Chu was invited to deliver a speech, emphasizing that the property management industry must actively embrace innovative technology to enhance building safety and service quality, leading the sector toward a human‑centric new era of smart property management. In the same session, Mr. Sanford Poon, Director (Property Management) of the Hong Kong Housing Society, also gave a presentation, sharing valuable experience and achievements in PM innovation and service enhancement.

In the subsequent “Emergency Response” panel discussion, the Q&A session was chaired by Dr. Johnnie CHAN, Chairperson, Practice and Assessment Committee of PMSA. The discussion delved into the crucial roles played by PM teams in emergency response and risk management, reinforcing the vital standing of PM professionals in safeguarding public and building safety through the sharing of practical expertise.

Furthermore, our Vice President Ms. Eva Wong, Hon. Secretary Mr. Herman Yu, Hon. Treasurer Mr. Bevis Leung, and several council members also attended this grand event. They engaged in warm exchanges with government officials, industry leaders, and stakeholders, demonstrating our firm commitment to promoting PM professionalism and sustainable development. Looking ahead, we will continue to deepen industry innovation and emergency response capabilities, joining hands with the industry to safeguard community well-being!

Our Honorary Secretary, Mr. Herman Yu, was honored to attend the “BOCHK Corporate Low-Carbon Environmental Leadership Awards 2025 Presentation & 2026 Launching Ceremony” on 19 August 2026, co-organized by the FHKI and Bank of China (Hong Kong) .

The ceremony brought together numerous industry leaders and corporate representatives to witness the presentation of various low-carbon environmental awards . The event commended outstanding corporate achievements in carbon reduction and sustainable operations while officially launching the next cycle of the awards. Through this event, industry peers exchanged valuable practical experiences in environmental leadership, demonstrating a strong commitment to promoting a green economy.

Honored to attend- Safety Forum for Works and Property Management Services 2026

HKAPMC was honored to be invited to attend the Safety Forum 2026 , co-organized by the Hong Kong Housing Authority, the Construction Industry Council and multiple institutions. The forum held on 18 August 2026 and themed “Design-Driven • Tech-Empowered • Building a New Era of Safety Together”, focused on safety innovations in property management and the construction industry.

Led by our President Mr. Kevin Chu, actively promotes the adoption of innovative technologies across the property management sector, enhancing and strengthening safety management culture and works hand-in-hand with industry peers toward our shared goal of “Zero Incidents.” This forum served not only as a platform for technical exchange but also as a vital step in advancing industry-wide safety culture. Through cross-sector collaboration and the integration of smart technologies, safety management is entering a new era.

In addition, our Council Member Ms. Carmen Wong also attended the Forum, engaging with fellow professionals to further drive safety and innovation together.

We will continue to maintain close collaboration with all sectors, fostering both safety and innovation and setting higher standards of safety culture for Hong Kong’s engineering and property management industries.

This seminar attracted many property management professionals in person, reflecting the industry’s strong commitment to enhancing integrity and professional standards.

A special note of appreciation goes to the speaker, Mr. Alvin Kwok, Community Relations Officer of the ICAC, who delivered an insightful presentation on common corruption risks in property management, the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance, case studies and ways to handle conflicts of interest and ethical dilemmas. His professional insights were highly beneficial to all participants.

We are pleased to share that we have successfully concluded our regular liaison meeting with the Fire Service Department on 4 August 2026.

協會已於2026年8月17日,正式向「特首政策組施政報告小組」及「政制及內地事務局」提交我們就《二零二六年施政報告》及《香港第一個五年規劃》公眾諮詢的意見書。

是次意見書綜合了業界的寶貴經驗與前瞻視野,涵蓋四大重點範疇:
1. 創新科技及產業發展 — 推動法規拆牆鬆綁、設立科技試點、普及「智方便」應用,以及加強與大灣區創科城市合作。
2. 民生及社會發展 — 完善《建築物管理條例》、設立強制維修基金、推動「聯度聯管」普及化、優化公營房屋管理及加強職安健保障。
3. 區域合作發展 — 推動技術認證互認及人才培訓交流。
4.  綠色生活 — 推動智慧物管、綠色建築及減廢回收。

This year’s “Security Personnel Day” was successfully held at Lok Fu Plaza on 24 July, featuring AI security avatar free experiences and interactive games. The lively atmosphere attracted enthusiastic participation and inquiries from the public, fully demonstrating society’s recognition and support for the security profession. Through innovative technology and engaging activities, experienced the professionalism and value of security work firsthand, strengthening the industry’s image and connection with the community.

Special thanks to our President Mr. Kevin Chu and Honorary Treasurer Mr. Bevis Leung, who joined fellow industry representatives in officiating the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the meaningful opening of the event. Our Council Member Ms. Carmen Wong was also in attendance showing the continued support for the industry. This was not only a grand celebration but also an important milestone in uniting the industry and advancing professional development .

We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the industry, driving the security and property management profession to new heights.

Our President Mr. Kevin Chu was honored to be invited to the Launch Ceremony of the “Net Zero Corporate Framework Assessment and Awards” organised by the Green Council on 17 July 2026, celebrating its 25th Anniversary.

This initiative supports Hong Kong’s Climate Action Plan 2050, introducing an independent evaluation framework to assess corporate net zero strategies and recognize outstanding carbon reduction achievements. For the property management sector, it is a valuable opportunity to raise sustainability standards, strengthen professional recognition, and align industry practices with international climate goals. At the same time, it promotes talent development and innovation, helping practitioners build resilience and long term competitiveness while contributing to Hong Kong’s low carbon future.

Our Association remains committed to supporting professional development and advancing sustainability, actively driving long term progress in the property management industry’s net zero transformation.

The importance of hiring licensed property management companies – they directly employ professionals including, but not limited to, Registered Professional Housing Manager, Certified Public Accountants, Chartered Engineers, Surveyors, Registered Architects, Safety Officers, Property Management Practitioner Tier 1 or 2 licence holders, among others.

Strengthen Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) & Urban Renewal Authority (URA) – use existing resources to boost their roles and manpower, and collaborate with licensed Property Managment firms to manage major building repairs, enhancing public trust.
