Successful Celebration of “Security Personnel Day 2026”

This year’s “Security Personnel Day” was successfully held at Lok Fu Plaza on 24 July, featuring AI security avatar free experiences and interactive games. The lively atmosphere attracted enthusiastic participation and inquiries from the public, fully demonstrating society’s recognition and support for the security profession. Through innovative technology and engaging activities, experienced the professionalism and value of security work firsthand, strengthening the industry’s image and connection with the community.

Special thanks to our President Mr. Kevin Chu and Honorary Treasurer Mr. Bevis Leung, who joined fellow industry representatives in officiating the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the meaningful opening of the event. Our Council Member Ms. Carmen Wong was also in attendance showing the continued support for the industry. This was not only a grand celebration but also an important milestone in uniting the industry and advancing professional development .

We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the industry, driving the security and property management profession to new heights.

Our President Mr. Kevin Chu was honored to be invited to the Launch Ceremony of the “Net Zero Corporate Framework Assessment and Awards” organised by the Green Council on 17 July 2026, celebrating its 25th Anniversary.

This initiative supports Hong Kong’s Climate Action Plan 2050, introducing an independent evaluation framework to assess corporate net zero strategies and recognize outstanding carbon reduction achievements. For the property management sector, it is a valuable opportunity to raise sustainability standards, strengthen professional recognition, and align industry practices with international climate goals. At the same time, it promotes talent development and innovation, helping practitioners build resilience and long term competitiveness while contributing to Hong Kong’s low carbon future.

Our Association remains committed to supporting professional development and advancing sustainability, actively driving long term progress in the property management industry’s net zero transformation.

Key message from Dr. Chan:
The importance of hiring licensed property management companies – they directly employ professionals including, but not limited to, Registered Professional Housing Manager, Certified Public Accountants, Chartered Engineers, Surveyors, Registered Architects, Safety Officers, Property Management Practitioner Tier 1 or 2 licence holders, among others.

Strengthen Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) & Urban Renewal Authority (URA) – use existing resources to boost their roles and manpower, and collaborate with licensed Property Managment firms to manage major building repairs, enhancing public trust.

2025 Kowloon West Best Security Services Awards Presentation Ceremony

To raise the professionalism and service standards of property management and frontline practitioners, our Association has, since the early 2000s, taken the lead in partnering with the Police’s Kowloon West District to organize the “Kowloon West Best Security Services Awards.” This annual event pays tribute to the security and property management professionals who work quietly and diligently, recognizing their professionalism, sense of duty, steadfastness in posts, and their role in protecting residents, tenants and properties while creating the best value-added conditions for properties. We are grateful for the ongoing support and participation — about 1,200 applications were received for the 2025 awards.

Our Association and our President, Mr. Kevin Chu, were honored to participate as a sponsoring organization and officiating guest, together with other officiating guests including:

Honored to be invited to the “Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) New Chapter Launch Ceremony” organized by HKU SPACE and the Qualifications Framework Secretariat on 9 July 2026

Our Vice President Ms. Eva Wong was honored to be invited to the “Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) New Chapter Launch Ceremony” organized by HKU SPACE and the Qualifications Framework Secretariat on 9 July 2026 . She joined industry peers to exchange experiences and advance the latest developments of the RPL mechanism.

This event not only provided updates on the latest developments but also fostered industry collaboration, driving professionalism and continuous progress. It further strengthened recognition and development opportunities for practitioners . Through the RPL mechanism, practitioners can obtain formal qualifications based on their work experience and competencies, thereby enhancing learning advancement and career development . This helps build a  stronger talent foundation and injects new momentum into the long-term growth of the property management industry.

Our Association will continue to support this important milestone, working together with the industry to promote professional recognition and lifelong learning and to advance sustainable development in property management.

Seminar Successfully Completed: CLP Decarbonization and Power Resilience Initiatives

On 3 July 2026, we successfully organized the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Webinar – “CLP Decarbonization and Power Resilience Initiatives” via Zoom meeting.

We sincerely thank CLP for arranging a team of professionals to deliver insightful presentations.

The programme covered:
– GridV Platform – AI-powered predictive system for power resilience, with monitoring coverage using AI cameras and drones, and automated alerts to enhance reliability
– Power quality enhancement through CLP-customer cooperation, including introduction to voltage dip and technical recommendations to minimize its impact
– Low-carbon energy management solutions and updated funding schemes, with latest Eco-Building Fund updates, new energy-saving technologies, and Heat Pump Guideline
– Driving energy efficiency and decarbonization solutions in buildings, covering building energy performance, Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS), and digital tools in practice

The webinar was well-received by managerial staff, fully demonstrating the industry’s strong commitment to enhancing energy efficiency, strengthening power reliability, and advancing decarbonization.

We will continue to organize forward-looking professional development programmes, equipping the sector with the latest insights and technologies to meet future challenges.

2026 China International Property Management Industry Expo held in Shanghai

Following the “Shanghai-Hangzhou Smart Property Tech Tour” organized by the Association in April 2026, we were honored to be invited by the China Property Management Association to attend the 2026 China International Property Management Industry Expo held in Shanghai on 1 July 2026. President Mr. Kevin Chu, together with council members Mr. Jacky Chan and Ms. Carmen Wong represented the Association and participated in the Opening Ceremony.

This year’s Expo was themed “Party Building Leading Development · Enhancing the Quality of Property Services”, featuring a wide range of impressive booths and innovative solutions that showcased the latest technologies and service trends in the industry.

President Mr Chu was also honored to attend an exchange meeting arranged by the Shanghai Property Management Association, with one representative from each province and city participating. We sincerely thank the organizers for their kind invitation and look forward to further exchanges and collaboration with industry peers.

CIHAPB Seminar: Legal Case Studies of Resolving Property Management Disputes cum Professional Mediation Certification Ceremony

Honored to have our President, Mr. Kevin Chu, attend the “CIHAPB Seminar: Legal Case Studies of Resolving Property Management Disputes cum Professional Mediation Certification Ceremony” on 13 June 2026.

It was a great opportunity to join nearly 300 industry leaders and practitioners in exploring the vital role of mediation and arbitration in Hong Kong’s property management sector. With the backing of relevant ordinances, these mechanisms provide efficient and legally recognised solutions to disputes among property management companies, owners, and tenants.

The ceremony also celebrated the latest cohort of professional mediators — a solid step forward for the profession.
