It was a great opportunity to join nearly 300 industry leaders and practitioners in exploring the vital role of mediation and arbitration in Hong Kong’s property management sector. With the backing of relevant ordinances, these mechanisms provide efficient and legally recognised solutions to disputes among property management companies, owners, and tenants.

The ceremony also celebrated the latest cohort of professional mediators — a solid step forward for the profession.

On 5 June 2026, we successfully held the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Webinar – “Water Leakage Investigation” via Zoom Meeting.

The session was well-received by managerial staff, who demonstrated strong commitment to enhancing their professional competence in handling water seepage cases effectively.

Hong Kong Five-Year Plan Consultation with Industry and Stakeholders

HKAPMC Invited to “Hong Kong Five-Year Plan Consultation with Industry and Stakeholders”

On 29 May 2026, HKAPMC was invited by the Housing Department to attend the meeting. Led by President Mr. Kevin Chu, our council members provided key recommendations on introducing smart management tools to improve public housing efficiency and resident satisfaction:

– AI Smart Surveillance – Detects littering, illegal parking, smoking, falls, etc.
– Drone Inspections – Checks facades, pipes, lift shafts, rooftops, reducing high-altitude risks
– IoT Sensors – Flood alerts, parking monitoring, pest detection, elderly fall detection
– Smart Management App – Integrates e-notices, rent collection, repair requests, emergency alerts, event booking
– Refining Tender Scoring Criteria for Smart Tools – The tender already includes smart management tools; our focus is on how to refine the scoring criteria to better reflect their effectiveness

– Additional discussions:
– Boosting elderly participation in smart tools
– Building resident trust in data privacy

Our President, Mr. Kevin Chu, represented the HKAPMC at the “Safe City Ambassador Scheme” Appointment and Commendation Ceremony 2026, held on 26th May 2026 at the Hong Kong Police Headquarters in Wan Chai.

The ceremony marked a significant collaborative effort between the Hong Kong Police Force and community stakeholders in promoting public safety and crime prevention. The property management industry remains deeply committed to supporting these initiatives, recognising that safety and security are fundamental to well-managed communities.

The Association extends its sincere congratulations to all newly appointed Safe City Ambassadors and commended recipients.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for today’s insightful CPD seminar on “Who Really Owns the Family Home? Beneficial Ownership Under Hong Kong Law” held today, 22 May 2026.

Your participation – whether in person or via Zoom – made this event truly meaningful.

The seminar examined a critical and often contentious area of Hong Kong property law: who is treated as having an ownership interest in a family home, even where the legal title is held by someone else. Key topics included:

–  Common Intention Constructive Trusts
–  Resulting Trusts
–  Proprietary Estoppel
– Matrimonial Assets

These issues become particularly important when relationships break down, or in cases of death, insolvency, or third-party claims.

On 20 May 2026, our Vice President, Ms. Eva Wong, represented the HKAPMC at the 10th Council Inauguration Ceremony & Dinner of the Hong Kong Construction Sub-Contractors Association (HKCSA).

The grand event was held at Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West, with the honour of having the Secretary for Development, Ms. Bernadette Linn, JP, as the Guest of Honour.

It was an evening of celebration, connection, and mutual respect — bringing together leaders from the construction and subcontracting sectors. We are proud to stand alongside our industry partners.

Chamber of Security Industry (CSI) 15th Anniversary Celebration Gala & Outstanding Security Personnel and Team Awards Ceremony 2025-26 on 5 May 2026

President, Mr. Kevin Chu, and Past President & Chairman of the Public Relations Committee, Dr. Johnnie CHAN joined the Chamber of Security Industry (CSI) 15th Anniversary Celebration Gala & Outstanding Security Personnel and Team Awards Ceremony 2025-26 on 5 May 2026.

Since its establishment in August 2011, the CSI has been a key platform connecting the security sector. Today, it brings together 39 corporate members, covering all license classes (A, B, C & D), and collectively employing over 50,000 frontline security professionals across Hong Kong.

It was truly wonderful to celebrate this milestone with Chairman Mr. Ho and the entire CSI team, and to honor the outstanding individuals and teams who demonstrate professionalism and dedication every day.

We were delighted to be there in support of the security community. A sincere thank you to the CSI for having us. Looking forward to continued collaboration and shared success ahead.
