HKAPMC was honored to participate in the “Building Surveying Division Conference 2026” organized by the Building Surveying Division of HKIS on 9 October 2026, focusing on the theme “Repair and Maintenance Reform: From Compliance to Excellence”.

Our Council Member, Mr. Allan Wong, represented the Association in the Session 2 panel discussion on “Smart and Competitive Procurement”, exchanging insights with representatives from the Urban Renewal Authority, Competition Commission, and professional bodies on “Smart Tender”, competition law, bid-rigging prevention, price-quality balance, and professional responsibilities.

The event fostered inter-sectoral professional exchange and collaboration, providing valuable references for the property management sector in building maintenance and procurement management to further enhance professional standards and service quality.

We will continue to partner with professional organizations to jointly drive the property management and building maintenance industry towards excellence!

The Prize Presentation Ceremony for the “Best Landscape Award for Private Property Development 2026”, organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) and supported by HKAPMC, concluded with great success!

Our President, Mr. Kevin Chu , officiated at the ceremony on 7 October 2026, sharing the joy of victory alongside many industry peers. We express our gratitude to all winning developments and property management teams for their dedication to greening, demonstrating the critical role of professional property management in enhancing living environments and advancing ecological sustainability. Heartfelt congratulations to all award recipients!

Exceptional landscape management not only enhances property value, but also serves as a key pillar in building high-quality living environments and fostering sustainable communities.

We will continue to support greening initiatives and partner with the industry to set new standards for green property management.

Our President, Mr. Kevin Chu was invited by the Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (RCPO KE) to attend the “Kowloon East Best Security Service Award 2025-26” Presentation Ceremony on 6 October 2026 as an honoured guest and award presenter, presenting awards to outstanding front-line security personnel and property management teams.

Under this year’s theme, “智守前沿 全賴有你”, the ceremony honored front-line security practitioners across the district, celebrating their dedication and remarkable contributions to safeguarding the community and preventing crime.

Mr. CHU offered his warmest congratulations to all the award recipients and expressed gratitude to RCPO KE for their continuous close communication and collaboration with the property management industry.

We will continue to work alongside the Police and industry partners to elevate professional standards and foster a safe and harmonious community together.

In response to the latest legislative updates and compliance requirements introduced by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) for licensed private swimming pools, the CPD seminar on “Private Swimming Pool Safety” — jointly organized by the Property Management Services Authority (PMSA), the Hong Kong China Life Saving Society (HKCLSS), and the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies (HKAPMC) — was successfully held on 2 October 2026!

In his speech, our President Mr. Kevin Chu expressed sincere gratitude to FEHD and HKCLSS for proactively addressing the sector’s most urgent needs through the rollout of the new Lifeguard Digital Verification System. This system effectively intercepts the use of forged certificates, further enhancing the professionalism and credibility of lifeguards. We strongly encourage the industry to register and utilize this officially recognized digital verification service to verify qualifications in real-time, mitigate wrong-hiring risks, and safeguard pool users.

In addition, our Past President and current Chairperson of HKCLSS, Dr. Johnnie CHAN, shared practical guidance on verifying lifeguard credentials in full compliance with regulatory standards and mitigating risks associated with fraudulent documents.

Our Vice President Mr. Sanford  Poon along with several council members, also attended the seminar to engage in in-depth exchanges with industry peers, demonstrating the management’s strong commitment and full support toward promoting professional compliance and safety standards in the industry.

– Over 1,500 licensed property management practitioners joined online

HKAPMC successfully organized the CPD webinar ” Updates in 2026 Layman’s Guide to Slope Maintenance ” via Zoom on 2 October 2026. The event was well-received with enthusiastic support and positive feedback from industry peers!

We are honored to have invited Ir Lily S Y CHAN, Geotechnical Engineer from the Geotechnical Engineering Office of the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD), as our guest speaker. Ir Chan delivered a clear and structured overview of slope maintenance legislation. She led participants through a detailed analysis of the key updates in the Fourth Edition (March 2026) of the Layman’s Guide to Slope Maintenance and shared innovative findings and practical case studies on drone technology applications in slope inspection.

Participants benefited immensely from this interactive exchange, gaining valuable insights into cutting-edge technology and practical maintenance operations .

This webinar underscores the property management sector’s strong commitment to slope safety and preventive maintenance, demonstrating our determination to integrate smart technologies to enhance property management quality .

We will continue to host diverse professional webinars to work hand in hand with the industry, staying ahead of the latest regulations and technological trends.

「消防處樓宇應急先鋒計劃」訓練實用靈活，包含1小時網上自學及2小時實體或直播課程，內容全面覆蓋：
日常管理與隱患辨識
消防裝置及設備管理、法例要求、常見火警隱患、設備維修進度跟進
實戰應對與逃生
火警應對程序、逃生策略、滅火設備與防煙頭套使用方法

樓宇持份者亦可簽署《樓宇應急準備約章》，與消防處攜手推動消防安全。

2026 Policy Address and The First Five-Year Plan

The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies (HKAPMC) welcomes the release of the 2026 Policy Address and The First Five-Year Plan, which provide a forward-looking and comprehensive roadmap for the city’s long-term development.

We are particularly encouraged by a number of initiatives relevant to property management and building governance, including:
– Enhancing building and fire safety governance
– Strengthening support for building rehabilitation and combating bid-rigging in major maintenance works
– Promoting smart technologies such as IoT fire detection systems
– Introducing a three-tier mechanism for resolving building management disputes
– Expanding the Joint Property Management Scheme and developing smart communities
–  Advancing energy efficiency, decarbonisation and sustainable building management

As Hong Kong embarks on a new phase of long-term development under the 2026 Policy Address and The First Five-Year Plan, the property management sector will continue to play a vital role in enhancing urban governance, safeguarding building safety, enhancing community resilience and improving quality of life for the community.

We are pleased to see many of the priorities advocated by the property management sector reflected in the 2026 Policy Address and The First Five-Year Plan. By strengthening building safety governance, enhancing building management frameworks and promoting smart communities, these policy initiatives will help elevate Hong Kong’s overall building governance standards and foster a safer, more liveable environment for the community.

HKAPMC remains committed to working closely with the Government, regulators and industry stakeholders to support policy implementation and contribute to a safer, smarter, greener and more liveable Hong Kong.

HKAPMC attends in “HKIH Symposium 2026”

Our Vice President, Ms. Eva Wong and Past President, Dr. Johnnie CHAN were invited to attend the “HKIH Symposium 2026” organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Housing (HKIH) on 11 September 2026. They represented HKAPMC to join this grand industry event alongside fellow professionals.

Under the highly forward-looking and practical theme of “Revolutionising Housing Management with AI Transformation,” this year’s symposium brought together government officials, industry leaders, and academic experts. In-depth discussions were held on core topics, including how Artificial Intelligence empowers modern property management , optimizes smart operations , deepens ESG performance, and builds inclusive smart communities.

We actively promotes the professionalization and technological transformation of the property management industry in Hong Kong. In the face of the rapid development of AI technologies and smart buildings, we will continue to work hand in hand with our industry partners to introduce cutting-edge innovative technologies, leading the industry to embrace transformation opportunities and co-create a new milestone in smart property management!
