In light of the fire incident at 宏福苑 (Wang Fuk Court), we urge all professionals in the building and construction industry and our Members to strictly adhere to fire safety measures, especially in buildings under renovation or construction.

Key reminders:
✅ All on-site fabric materials (e.g., curtains, protective nets, plastic sheeting, tarpaulins) must be flame-retardant and comply with recognized standards such as:
GB 5725-2009 (Safety Net)
BS 5867-2:2008 (Type B)
NFPA 701:2019 (Test Method 2)

✅ Regularly clear debris and combustible materials from scaffolding and work areas to prevent fire hazards.

✅ Refer to the latest guidelines from the Buildings Department (Circular Ref: BD GP/BORD/71, dated 21 Mar 2023) and the Fire Services Department for full compliance.

鑑於宏福苑發生的火警事故，本會提醒所有認可人士、註冊承建商及物業管理從業員，必須嚴格遵守消防安全措施，特別是在進行修葺、拆卸或建築工程的樓宇。

重點提醒：
1. 所有在工地使用的織物材料（例如保護網、保護幕、防水油布、塑膠帆布及窗簾等）必須具備阻燃特性，並符合認可標準，例如：
GB 5725-2009（安全網）
BS 5867-2:2008 (Type B)
NFPA 701:2019 (Test Method 2)

2. 必須定時清理棚架及工作平台上的雜物和易燃物料，以預防火警危險。
