Frontline property management personnel frequently handle visitor registration, a process that involves collecting and processing personal data. The Digital Policy Office introduced the “iAM Smart” Personal Code, which allows “iAM Smart” users to present masked personal information via a QR code. This approach minimises the need to disclose excessive personal details by utilising an identity card, thereby enhancing privacy protection. Currently, more than 60 housing estates, government buildings and commercial buildings across Hong Kong have adopted this function for visitor registration or access control.
To enhance the property management industry’s understanding of the “iAM Smart” Personal Code and its practical application, the Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) has collaborated with the Digital Policy Office to hold a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Webinar on 23 July 2026 – Application of “iAM Smart” Personal Code in the Property Management Sector: New Directions in Digital Transformation and Privacy Compliance.
Our council members represented the Association at the seminar and engaged in an in-depth exchange on the practical application of the ‘iAM Smart’ personal QR code in the property management industry.
The event drew strong industry participation, focusing on professional knowledge, practical applications, and innovative technologies, driving the property management sector towards new milestones in visitor registration and privacy protection.
Our Association remains committed to advancing technology integration in property management and building smart, safe community together.
